There’s a Hero in all of us… well, some of us. Read on to find out about Heroes, Level 16 Cards, Boxes, and more!
Heroes
Heroes offer a brand new way to unleash the hidden potential of your Cards, granting them powerful abilities that can be activated in battle. Also, their eyes will go all cool and glowy.
Open Hero Boxes to collect Hero Fragments, and you’ll receive a random Hero when you’ve gathered enough!
For an in-depth breakdown of how Heroes work and how to unlock them, check here. To find out which Heroes are stepping up to the plate this December, keep reading!
Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A
Same Mini P.E.K.K.A, different mini pancakes.
Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A has been getting some lessons from Royal Chef. His Hero Ability, Breakfast Boost, allows him to cook up and eat pancakes to level up! The art of pancake-making requires patience — the longer you wait to use the ability, and the more attacks Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A makes in this time, the more he’ll level up.
Breakfast Boost costs 1 Elixir to use.
Please note! Since Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A is our special little guy, he won’t be available to unlock by using Hero Fragments immediately. Recruit him by purchasing the December Pass Royale in the meantime! Players that have yet to unlock their first Hero Slot at Arena 15 will receive a different version of the Pass Royale with 6 Wild Evo Shards instead of a Hero.
Hero Knight
He’s gotta be strong, and he’s gotta be fast, and he’s gotta be called Hero Knight…
Hero Knight has new armor, a new shield, and a new way to protect his allies! His Hero Ability, Triumphant Taunt, allows him to distract enemies with his ridiculously beautiful mustache and raise his shield, granting him an extra HP bar and forcing nearby enemies to attack him.
Triumphant Taunt costs 2 Elixir to use.
Hero Giant
You don’t have to be a hulking mass of pure muscle to be a Hero, but it helps!
Aside from a mean pair of mutton chops, Hero Giant’s also gotten himself a pair of powerful golden gauntlets. He’s still lazer-focused on destroying buildings, but his Hero Ability, Heroic Hurl, allows him to throw the highest-HP enemy nearby across the Arena away from him.
Heroic Hurl costs 2 Elixir to use.
Hero Musketeer
Firepower on its own is fine, but friendly firepower is just fantastic!
Since one boomstick wasn’t enough, Hero Musketeer recruited another — with a mind of its own! Her Hero Ability, Trusty Turret, allows her to summon an automatic turret in front of her current location, dealing damage when it lands and opening fire on enemies until it runs out of HP.
Trusty Turret costs 3 Elixir to use.
Hero Boxes and Evolution Boxes
Life is like a Box of Evo Shards. Or a Box of Hero Fragments. You know almost exactly what you’re gonna get!
Open Evolution Boxes to earn Evo Shards for a random Card Evolution. Open Hero Boxes to earn Hero Fragments, which can be used to unlock new Heroes!

Level 16
This update, we’re bringing things to a whole new level… Level 16, to be precise!
The maximum Card Level has been increased to 16, allowing you to progress further and strive for the top. The highest King Tower Level attainable has also been raised to 16. Additionally, we’ve made a number of adjustments to make progression smoother on your way to the new maximum Card Level, including reduced Card and Gold costs for upgrades at certain levels.
With the removal of Elite Wild Cards, you can simply upgrade your Level 15 Cards using Cards and Gold to make them more powerful than ever before! You’ll also be able to use Gems to top up any Cards or Gold you need to upgrade a Card.
Please note! Ranked Cards will be capped at Level 15 until May 2026 in order to give everyone time to catch up. Time to get grinding!
King’s Journey Extension
In addition to Level 16 for Cards, the King’s Journey has been extended to level 90! XP requirements for levels 50–70 have decreased to reflect this increase, but don’t worry, as your current King Level will be adjusted to reflect the amount of XP you earned before the update.
Elite Wild Card and Magic Item Conversions
Elite Wild Cards, Magic Coins, and Magic Books are no more. To learn about our reasoning for these changes, check here. Learn about how we’re converting these items into other resources to maintain their value here.
Crystals
All that glitters is not Gold… sometimes it’s Crystals! Start collecting this brand-new currency after you’ve maxed out a Card to purchase unique cosmetic rewards in the Shop. Learn more about Crystals here.
New Arenas & Trophy Road Changes
The road to glory is a long one… and it just got longer! From December, Trophy Road is being extended to 12,000 Trophies with the addition of four new Arenas. Over the coming months, the Ranked unlock requirements will change to these Arenas:
Arena 25 (10,000 Trophies): Lumberlove Cabin (November Ranked unlock requirement)
Arena 26 (10,500 Trophies): Royal Road (December Ranked unlock requirement)
Arena 27 (11,000 Trophies): Musketeer Street (January Ranked unlock requirement)
Arena 28 (11,500 Trophies): Summit of Heroes (February Ranked unlock requirement)
Seasonal Trophy Road will be temporarily disabled to give you a chance to climb to the Summit of Heroes. Get your snow shoes on!
