To Overflow or Not To Overflow?
Most resources and items have a limit on how many can be held at one time, and all limited resources/items handle excess collection differently. When the limit is reached, one of the following can happen, depending on the resource/item in question:
Loss of the resource/item
Conversion into another resource/item
Overflow into the inventory
Limited resources and items have either an inventory limit or an absolute maximum. This decides the amount of the resource that can be stored at once, and how to handle situations where you might collect more than that amount.
Inventory Limit
If your inventory is near the limit and you collect a batch of the resource/item that would bring your total above it, the entire batch will be received, and the excess will overflow regardless of the source.
For example: If you have 95 items with a limit of 100 and collect 10 more, you will end up with 105/100.
Absolute Maximum
Items and resources with absolute maximum limits cannot exceed their cap, and any excess will be lost.
For example: If you have 95 items with an absolute maximum of 100 and collect 10 more, you will end up with 100.
Cosmetics
All cosmetic items, including emotes, banners, and tower skins, are unique. It is not possible to receive additional copies or convert them into other resources/items.
Manual Conversion of Magic Items
If you have upgraded all cards of a particular rarity to level 16, Wild Cards of that rarity can be manually converted to Crystals. To do this, open the Collection tab and tap the Wild Card icon under the Magic Item you wish to convert.

Evolution Shards
Please note! A card’s Evolution form unlocks as soon as you collect six Evolution Shards, so it is not possible to store any more than six Evolution Shards for a particular card. Additional shards will be converted automatically. The conversion rate will vary by Arena. See the table below for details.

Heroes
If you receive a duplicate of a Hero you have already summoned (through an event, for example), you will earn copies of that card and 20 Hero Coins instead.
